From basic research to industrial partnership

LEA Microtechnics

LEA Microtechnics (European associated laboratory)

Logo LEA

A LEA represents a set of laboratories and research and transfer groups, labelled by the CNRS. Its activities are developed at least in two different countries and working on joint themes. In fact they represent a real economic interest for cross-border regions.

The Franco-Swiss LEA µTechnics is composed for the french part of FEMTO-ST, the Automatics laboratory of Besançon (LAB) and the Transfer Centre in Micro and Nanotechnologies(CTMN) and for the swiss part of the IMT (University of Neuchâtel), the EPFL and the CSEM.

In Franche-Comté, it is financed by territorial collectivities, the CNRS, the INTERREG II and III programmes and by Swiss establishments and confederation.

Its flagship events are the yearly Arc-et-Senans workshops where research and industry are gathered and the European summer School " Highlights in Microtechnology " which has welcomed students and post doctoral students since 2004.

Le LEA Microtechnics is managed by Christophe Gorecki.
