Since 1999, the Nanometrologie and Microsystemes for life science team, has first of all devoted its effort to the acquisition of a knowledge in microsystems (more precisely silicon technology) in parallel to the development of laboratory on chips. These two last years the need for integrating optical functionalities in these lab-on-chip (metrology at the cellular level), pushed us to deepen and innovate in the field of our historical expertise which is that of photonic (supercontinuum sources for confocal microscopy and the time resolved spectroscopy for bone tissues, biosensors for the allergens, fluorescence probes, Optical Tomography…). To take into account this thematic reinforcement around optics, in agreement with the turn carried out since 1999, we decided to rename our team `Biophotonic'. This label indeed synthetize the whole of our current concerns which are the application to life science of innovative technologies, techniques of metrology, imagery or optical microsystems. The various sets of themes of the team are at the present time the following ones:
