Welcome to the page of the nonlinear optics group of the optics Laboratory P. M. Duffieux. We work on many topics of experimental and theoretical nonlinear optics, including nonlinear fiber optics, slab planar photorefractive and Kerr waveguides, and parametric amplification in quadratic crystals. Both fundamental aspects of nonlinear optical phenomena and applications of these fields to all-optical information processing telecommunications, fiber sensing, classical and quantum imaging are considered.

The nonlinear optics group was established in 1988 within the Department of Optics at the University of Franche-comté in Besançon (France). The group is currently made up of 14 staff comprising 4 Professors, 1 Lecturer, and 2 CNRS researchers, 5 Ph. D students, 2 Post-doctoral researchers, and support staff.
