Nicolas Andreff est Ingénieur ENSEEIHT (Informatique et Mathématiques Appliquées, 1994), Docteur INPG (Imagerie, Vision et Robotique, 1999) et HDR UBP (Vision et Robotique, 2006).

Il a été étudiant ERASMUS au département d'Automatique de LTH (Suède, 1994) où il a
fait son stage de fin d'études sur la commande des systèmes à retard.

Il a mené ses travaux de doctorat dans les équipes BIP et MOVI de l'INRIA Rhône-Alpes/IMAG.
Ces travaux ont porté sur l'asservissement visuel et l'étalonnage de robot.

Il a réalisé un travail post-doctoral dans l'équipe BIP, portant sur la robotique bipède.

De 2000 à 2009, il a été Maitre de Conférences à l'Institut Français de Mécanique Avance, Clermont-Ferrand.
Ses travaux de recherche portaient alors sur la modélisation, l'identification et la commande
référencées vision rapide de mécanismes à cinématique parallèle.

Depuis september 2009, il est Professeur de l'Université de Franche-Comté (Besançon, France) où il
développe une activité portant sur la microrobotique médicale.
