Rémy Passier was born in Montbéliard (France), in 1981. He received his Master degree in physics from the University of Franche-Comté in 2004, after passing successively two predoctoral courses on supercontinuum generation in optical fibers and vortex optical beams. Thanks to a grant of the French scientific Research minister, he started a Ph. D thesis in the Nonlinear optics team at the Sciences Faculty under the supervision of Fabrice Devaux. His research interests are mainly the vortex optical beams in photorefractives crystals and their potential applications to all-optical devices.
