Antony Plait was born in Montbéliard, France. He obtained his PhD at the “Université Technologique de Belfort Montbéliard” (UTBM), Belfort (France), with a focus on magnetic refrigeration and in particular multiphysics modeling, in 2019.
He is currently a Post-Doctoral fellow in the ENERGIE department of the FEMTO-ST Institute affiliated to the CNRS and jointly with the University Bourgogne Franche-Comté.
His research focuses on modelling, analysis and design in various fields such as magnetic refrigeration, eddy current losses in permanent magnets and fuel cell systems. He develops (semi-)analytical models and performs their experimental validation. Dr. Plait received the RENAULT Internal Award (Direction Engineering Alliance –Innovation) in 2019 and the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (IEEE ICEMS) in 2021.
