Abstract : Deep learning is a paradigm that provides increasingly powerful tools (artificial neural networks, convolution networks). The latter in fact make it possible to clarify classification rules that are not obvious. On the other hand, they must first be trained on a large amount of data. In fact, they can only reproduce rules based on their own experiences. Conversely, systems based on case-based reasoning (RàPC) are capable of integrating and applying different types of knowledge: rules, theoretical and practical knowledge, vocabulary. However, all this knowledge must be made explicit and must therefore be intelligible. For all these reasons, it is advantageous to design systems that combine the tools of these two complementary paradigms, with the strengths of one paradigm compensating for the weaknesses of the other. The scientific contributions presented in this report show different ways to make the most of these tools on a single platform to provide solutions to experts in the field of Health, imaging, education and surveillance. With the emergence of the Internet of Things and of sensors that are now capable of analyzing the data they perceive themselves, the integration of tools from these two paradigms into these connected objects accessible to all is obvious and presents exciting opportunities and challenges.
