Premier rotor nanométrique sur une surface de silicium

Le groupe Nanoscience du département MN2S de FEMTO-ST, en collaboration avec le CEMES à Toulouse, a réussi à mettre au point le premier rotor nanométrique sur une surface de silicium. La rotation du nano-rotor est induite par la température et elle est observée par microscopie à effet tunnel à température ambiante. Ces résultats sont publiés dans la revue ChemPhysChem. L’éditeur a choisi d’illustrer la couverture intérieure de son numéro de févier 2014 par une vue artistique représentant la rotation des molécules sur la surface.
