FEMTO-ST élargit ses compétences et s’agrandit

Un nouveau département de recherche consacré à l’Informatique des Systèmes Complexes (DISC) vient d’être créé au sein de l’institut FEMTO-ST grâce à l’intégration en janvier 2012 des équipes de l’ex laboratoire d’Informatique de Franche-Comté.

Des compétences élargies en informatique pour consolider ses activités de recherche

Ces nouvelles compétences vont permettre à l’institut de relever de nouveaux défis et de développer des activités de recherche transversales, associant matériel et logiciel pour des systèmes plus intelligents. Dans ce domaine, FEMTO-ST pourra notamment mener des activités scientifiques sur les systèmes distribués, sur leurs problèmes de commande, et sur les logiciels intégrés dans les micro et nanosystèmes.

FEMTO-ST qui compte aujourd’hui 7 départements de recherche, regroupe dorénavant plus de 650 personnes réparties entre Besançon, Belfort et Montbéliard.
