Benjamin Rousseaux works extensively on the theory and modeling of quantum light-matter interactions in nanoscale objects. He obtained his PhD from the University of Burgundy in 2016, before working as a postdoc at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden (2017-2020), at the Laboratoire de Physique de l'École Normale Supérieure in Paris (2020-2021), and at the Institut d'Optique in Bordeaux (2022-2024). He is now assistant professor in the Nano-optics group at Institut FEMTO-ST.
His current research project aims to construct models to understand the dissipative coupling between nanoresonators and quantum emitters.
Keywords: Nanophotonic systems, cavity quantum electrodynamics, plasmonics, quantum devices such as single-photon sources, electromagnetic modelling.
