Hugo Daguerre

Hugo Daguerre is an engineering graduate from INSA Lyon (National Institute of Applied Sciences). Originally specialized in mechanical engineering, he received his Master's degree in 2018. From 2018 to 2021, he worked toward the Ph.D. degree at FEMTO-ST Institute on the topic "Impedance-based position tracking for mobile microrobotic applications", under supervision of Dr. Aude Bolopion and Dr. Michael Gauthier. Within the course of this doctoral thesis, he collaborated with Prof. Philippe Renaud's microsystems laboratory (LMIS4) at EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland, and he was a visiting researcher with Prof. Metin Sitti's Physical Intelligence Department in Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, Stuttgart, Germany. He received the Ph.D. degree in automation from University Bourgogne Franche-Comté, Besançon, France, in December 2021. In 2022, he was a post-doctoral researcher with Prof. Sarthak Misra's Surgical Robotics Laboratory at the University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands. He is now an Assistant Professor at University of Franche-Comté and carries out his research with FEMTO-ST Institute and other international institutions (e.g., guest researcher at the University of Twente from October to December 2023). His research interests include microrobotics, microfluidics, and autonomous devices for biomedical applications.
