Sampad Saha completed his Master's degree in Physics, specializing in Laser and Plasma Physics from Pondicherry University, India. His expertise includes precision laser handling, calibration and execution of highly sensitive optics experiments. He has conducted extensive work in characterization of thermal and non-thermal plasmas in atmospheric and vacuum environment using optical emission spectroscopy. His Master's thesis focused on designing and characterization of atmospheric DBD-like arc Plasma for industrial applications, showcasing his commitment to advancing practical and impactful technologies in the field of applied physics.
In November 2024, he joined the Institute FEMTO-ST, where he is currently engaged in the spectroscopic analysis of ultrafast laser-produced plasmas, which have a wide range of technological applications, including materials processing, medical device manufacturing, and microelectronics. This research aims to deepen the understanding of plasma behavior under extreme conditions, contributing to the development of novel laser-based technologies.
