Applied Mechanics : Experimental Study on Impact of Recycling of Resins on the Tensile and Physical Properties of Flax Fibres
This internship aims to investigate the effects of chemical recycling on the mechanical and physical properties of flax fibres recovered from bio-based composites with recyclable thermoset matrices. Recycled fibres will be compared with virgin fibres through tensile testing and complementary characterisation techniques, including FTIR spectroscopy, density measurements and optical analysis. The objective is to understand how recycling affects fibre quality and assess their potential for reuse in high-performance, sustainable composites.
Duration : 5–6 months starting in February 2027
