Abstract : The research work presented in this thesis concerns the development of an aging model of the fuel cell system (FCS) including the proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) and the air supply system (air compressor). 'air), aiming to predict the degradation of its performance. First, an Analysis of Failure Modes and their Effects (FMEA) was implemented in particular through an Analysis of Degradation Mechanisms of the FCS, which led to the creation of fault trees of the FCS. In addition, the nature of the degradations of the fuel cell (reversible and irreversible) were studied in order to estimate, not only the rate of degradation of the reversible and irreversible losses but also their impacts on the lifespan of the system. Secondly, a hybrid modeling approach of the studied FCS was proposed, for the prognosis of residual lifespan. Based on the physical knowledge of the PEMFC and experimental data, this approach has shown its precision, reliability and repeatability through its validation on three databases, resulting from three test campaigns carried out on three different PEMFCs. The results obtained could be interpreted on the basis of the fault trees previously developed. Finally, the impact of the aging of the PàC on the air supply system was studied on the basis of experimental data from the European GIANTLEAP project. The performance indicators of the air compressor demonstrate the impact of aging of the fuel cell on itself. In fact, the change in the operating point of the air compressor observed following the aging of the fuel cell contributes to the acceleration of its degradation leading to its end of life.
