Title : Biological activity of inhaled particles with therapeutic applications (aerosol-therapy) or in a pathological context (nanotoxicity)

Abstract : This seminar will provide an overview of the research activities conducted within the BioPI department at the Centre Ingénierie et Santé, Ecole des Mines de Saint-Étienne, focusing on advanced in vitro and ex vivo models used to investigate the biological effects of inhaled particles. As part of ongoing reflections on future directions, particular emphasis will be placed on the early-stage development of a lung-on-a-chip platform. The concept of a lung-on-a-chip platform will be introduced and discussed as a potential avenue for collaborative research.
