Jean-Marc Nicod obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1997, from the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Lyon (LIP at ENS) and his HDR from the Université of Franche-Comté (LIFC) in 2006. He is currently a full Professor in computer science at the Automatic Control and Micro-Mechatronic Systems Department (AS2M) of Institut FEMTO-ST in the National Engineering Institute in Mechanics and Microtechnologies (ENSMM) in Besançon, France. His research interests include parallel and distributed computing, distributed systems, algorithms, scheduling and decision making for distributed heterogeneous systems.
