MECANICS : Post-Doc "Development of a microdevice for mechanobiology"
Job Description : The post-doctoral position is managed by the Department of Applied Mechanics (DMA) at FEMTO-ST institute (https://www.femto-st.fr/en). FEMTO-ST institute is a CNRS laboratory which is one of the largest french unit in
engineering science, computer science and physics. It explores various scientific problematics from theory to experiments, increasing the density of functions and integrating intelligence for the engineering of components and systems with
optimized performances and contributes to the future of a knowledge-based improved society. The laboratory uses high technology facilities : MIMENTO platform (MIcrofabrication for MEchanics, Nanosciences, Thermal and Optics) that is a technology center identified as a reference center for Micro-nano-optics, Micro-nano-acoustics, Micro-Opto-Electro- Mechanical Systems (MOEMS) and Micro-Robotics (https://platforms.femto-st.fr/centrale-technologie-mimento/). Within the DMA at FEMTO-ST Institute, BiomecaT research team is working on the mechanical characterization of soft tissues by developing experimental devices (1), setting mechanical tests on both biomaterials or ex vivo/in vivo tissues and implementing numerical methods to identify intrinsec behaviours (2). The project will take place in a research group having long experience in modelling the biomechanics of soft tissue and more recent experience on mechanobiology but
working hand in hand with specialists in consortium S-KELOID (https://s-keloid.cnrs.fr/).
Missions: Non-permanent position of research associate to conduct a project of mechanobiology in a multidisciplinary environment.
