MICRO Intelligent Microtechnics  Team offers a Post-Doctoral position in Micro-characterization of Cork Material Using Nano-Micro-Tomography and Field Measurements.

Location : FEMTO-ST Institute, Applied Mechanics Department, MICRO Team, Besançon, France
Preferred Start Date: January 2025 (or earlier if possible)
Contract Duration: 18-month contract
Salary: €2682 Brut/month

Context et projects : The MICRO Intelligent Microtechnics team  focuses its research on the development and characterization of microtechnical systems. In collaboration with Agro Dijon (PAM Team), we are developing miniature devices to characterize cork material and its applications in oenological stoppers. Using the characterization facilities of the AMETISTE and MIFHySTO platforms, compression tests have been conducted on miniature (ø1mm, height 1.7mm) and standard cork stoppers using conventional means (traction machine) as well as under nano-micro X-ray tomography.

Desired Profile: Postdoctoral Researcher
Required Skills:
PhD in mechanics of materials, preferably with a focus on bio-based or porous materials, and a strong interest in experimental developments. Skills in field measurement techniques would be appreciated. Experience with X-ray tomography is an advantage but not a strict requirement.
