PhD proposal : Study of composite with very high loaded MagnetoCaloric powders for magnetic refrigeration

The aim of this PHD is, firstly, to elaborate the MC powder by mechanosynthesis and the composite by mixing the powder with a thermoplastic polymer and, secondly, to characterize them in order to identify the effects of elaboration process and the parameters of the constitutive laws. Finally, numerical simulations of the magnetocaloric effect and the elastocaloric one will be performed on simple geometries in order to qualify the efficiency of each of these two cooling strategies.

Intership: biocomposites for high-end audio applications

In the frame of a large European Project which aims at developing advanced bio-based composites, the main objective of the internship will be to estimate the structural dynamics properties of hifi components that includes flax fibers-based components
