     TEACHING ACTIVITIES 

    The new recruit will teach in the “Multimedia et Informatique” Department, which has six teaching staff (two full professors, one associate professor with habilitation to supervise doctoral students, and three lecturers) qualified in sections 27 (computer science) and 71 (Information and Communication Sciences) of the CNU (National University Committee). They will be involved in the department’s three courses: 

    • Third year of Bachelor’s degree in “Multimedia Products and Services” (specializing in “Computer science”)

     • Master’s degree in “Multimedia Products and Services” (PSM, specializing in “Information Technology”)

     • Master’s degree in “Internet of Things” (IoT) (specializing in “Embedded Computing Systems”), an international master’s degree taught in English. These programs are structured around project-based learning and offer training in research and through research thanks to tutored projects.

     The successful candidate will be required to offer courses that fit into the curricula of the three programs mentioned above, including the following subjects

    : • UML modeling and language theory (Bachelor’s degree). 

    • Mobile development (PSM and IoT) 

    • Advanced web technologies (Bachelor’s degree and PSM) 

    • Hybrid mobile development, AI, and big data (PSM).

     • Networking, systems, and security (Bachelor’s degree, IoT)

     The candidate must demonstrate their ability to teach in French and English, take on teaching responsibilities, monitor projects and internships, and get involved in educational projects within the UMLP and internationally, particularly with the international partners of the StarsEU Alliance.

    RESEARCH ACTIVITIES 

    The candidate will have to propose a research integration in the OMNI team of the DISC (department of computer science and complex systems) of the FEMTO-ST Institute (UMR CNRS 6174). The OMNI team focuses on the principles, techniques, applications and planning of distributed and mobile systems.
    These themes are structured into three main axes :
    • DiMEMS (for Distributed Intelligent Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems)

    • Wireless Networks and Mobility

    • Planning and scheduling

    Candidates will focus their research on one of these areas. The team particularly encourages applications from researchers with a background in artificial intelligence who are able to apply or develop AI approaches to enrich these fields and promote synergies.
    The Marie and Louis Pasteur University is HRS4R certified. As such, it implements the European human resources strategy for researchers.

    Teaching Activities : 

    The candidate will integrate the Computer Science department of the UFR Sciences & Techniques (ST).The candidate will have to intervene at different levels and to oversee the supervision of apprentices, internships (distance or face-to-face) and projects. The teaching project will be adapted according to the skills provided by the candidate even if it is also customary to expect an investment in the «classic» teaching units of the bachelor.

    Research Activities  :

    The candidate should propose a research integration project in the DEODIS team or in the VESONTIO team of the DISC department of the Femto-ST Institute (UMR CNRS 6174) or propose openings and multidisciplinary perspectives, linked, for example, to life and earth sciences.

    The candidate should contextualize her/his research activities in the EIPHI Graduate School, within which FEMTO-ST and UMLP are stakeholders.
