TEACHING ACTIVITIES
The courses will be taught at the Besançon-Vesoul University Institute of Technology (IUT), part of Marie and Louis Pasteur University (UMLP), within the Mechanical and Production Engineering (GMP) department. The Bachelor's Degree in Technology (B.U.T) GMP is a three-year vocational course (Bac+1 to +3) that prepares students for middle management positions. All teaching will take place at the Besançon site, on the Bouloie campus.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- contribute to the acquisition of critical learning in the areas of materials mechanics, modelling and dimensioning.
- actively participate in the training of students by providing them with a rigorous understanding of physical phenomena, which is essential for their future role as senior technicians with a university education.
- be able not only to teach theory, but also to put it into practice with students
- be directly involved in the design, assembly, testing and analysis of experimental devices, providing students with solid practical experience and a strong link between theory and application.
- will also participate in the life of the department and educational activities (open days, forums, Parcoursup, etc.), attending meetings, participating in examinations and juries, and monitoring internships and work-study programmes.
RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
The successful candidate will join the FEMTO-ST institute (Franche-Comté Électronique Mécanique Thermique et Optique – Sciences et Technologies, UMR 6174) and the Applied Mechanics department in Besançon. They will strengthen the ECTO (mEcano-Chimie et TribolOgie) team, whose work is at the interface of three disciplinary fields: tribology / materials mechanics / mechanochemical couplings.
The successful candidate will be required to:
• Conduct and lead research activities in the field of mechanical and frictional behaviour of structured surfaces;
• Participate in the supervision of doctoral students and interns, and contribute to the development of collaborative projects (national and international);
• Develop academic collaborations, in line with the department's research areas, and industrial collaborations, particularly with the regional, national and international industrial fabric;

TEACHING ACTIVITIES
The successful candidate will join the teaching team at ISIFC and be fully integrated into the engineering school. He/She will work in the field of mechanical engineering applied to medical devices, supporting students in acquiring skills in mechanical design (representation of mechanical systems and their kinematics, CAD, dimensioning, and elements of mechanical technology) and mechanical systems (modeling of mechanical connections and the calculation of forces and power transmission). He/She will introduce the concepts of environmental transition and impact assessment of medical devices into this specific mechanical engineering course. He/She will contribute to the school’s projects and assist with teaching organization.
He/She will be able to draw on his/her research work to provide relevant examples to facilitate the acquisition of skills.RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
The successful candidate will join the Department of Applied Mechanics (DMA), which is located in Besançon and operates within a particularly dynamic scientific environment focused, notably, on health, biomedical engineering, and innovative technologies for living organisms.
The main tasks of the lecturer-researcher will be to:
• Develop high-fidelity experimental devices adapted to the anisotropic, visco-hyperelastic and evolving behaviour of soft tissues.
• Strengthen clinical collaborations by developing ‘bedside’ experimental methodologies in order to link mechanical measurement, numerical simulation and therapeutic responses.
• Promoting innovation and transfer to medical-industrial and hospital stakeholders.
• Participating in the scientific leadership of the research team: supervising doctoral students, setting up projects, coordinating seminars, involvement in networks and learned societies.Demonstrated ability to integrate into a multidisciplinary environment and engage with partners from different scientific and medical backgrounds will be particularly appreciated.

Interventions in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years of the BUT programmeThe successful candidate will be involved in materials science (packaging materials, packaging approval, quality control) and mechanics (statics and RDM), as well as process engineering. He will be responsible for all materials characterisation equipment used for packaging qualification, quality control and approval, in an increasingly demanding regulatory and social responsibility context. He will also be responsible for continuing to develop practical work and experimental resources covering a wide range of materials and sectors of activity, in connection with issues related to the packaging industry, including the selection and supply of materials and their recyclability.

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
The successful candidate will join the FEMTO-ST Institute (Franche-Comté Electronics, Mechanics, Thermal Science and Optics – Sciences and Technologies, UMR 6174) and will strengthen the Applied Mechanics Department located in Besançon.
The successful candidate will join one of the research teams of the Applied Mechanics Department whose activities focus on materials mechanics or manufacturing processes.
The recruited staff member will contribute to the experimental and methodological development in the field of the mechanical and multiphysics characterisation of packaging materials. They will participate in the operation and enhancement of the department’s equipment, including experimental devices dedicated to gas permeation initially developed for hydrogen tank liners.
The recruited candidate will be expected to foster strong synergy between research and teaching by integrating their research activities into the programmes offered by the Packaging, Emballage et Conditionnement department of the IUT Besançon-Vesoul, Dole campus.

The candidate will integrate the Computer Science department of the UFR Sciences & Techniques (ST). This department will count, in September 2025, 7 professors, 15 associate professors, 2 full-time teachers, 2 engineers, 1 assistant-engineer and 1 secretary. The department manages
the curricula of Computer Sciences Bachelor and Master (face-to-face, apprenticeship and remote). The members of the department are also involved in other

The candidate will have to intervene at different levels and to oversee the supervision of apprentices, internships (distance or face-to-face) and projects. The teaching project will be adapted according to the skills provided by the candidate even if it is also customary to expect an investment in the «classic» teaching units of the bachelor. TEACHING ACTIVITIES
The new recruit will teach in the “Multimedia et Informatique” Department, which has six teaching staff (two full professors, one associate professor with habilitation to supervise doctoral students, and three lecturers) qualified in sections 27 (computer science) and 71 (Information and Communication Sciences) of the CNU (National University Committee). They will be involved in the department’s three courses:
• Third year of Bachelor’s degree in “Multimedia Products and Services” (specializing in “Computer science”)
• Master’s degree in “Multimedia Products and Services” (PSM, specializing in “Information Technology”)
• Master’s degree in “Internet of Things” (IoT) (specializing in “Embedded Computing Systems”), an international master’s degree taught in English. These programs are structured around project-based learning and offer training in research and through research thanks to tutored projects.
The successful candidate will be required to offer courses that fit into the curricula of the three programs mentioned above, including the following subjects
: • UML modeling and language theory (Bachelor’s degree).
• Mobile development (PSM and IoT)
• Advanced web technologies (Bachelor’s degree and PSM)
• Hybrid mobile development, AI, and big data (PSM).
• Networking, systems, and security (Bachelor’s degree, IoT)
The candidate must demonstrate their ability to teach in French and English, take on teaching responsibilities, monitor projects and internships, and get involved in educational projects within the UMLP and internationally, particularly with the international partners of the StarsEU Alliance.
RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
The candidate will have to propose a research integration in the OMNI team of the DISC (department of computer science and complex systems) of the FEMTO-ST Institute (UMR CNRS 6174). The OMNI team focuses on the principles, techniques, applications and planning of distributed and mobile systems.
These themes are structured into three main axes :
• DiMEMS (for Distributed Intelligent Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems)• Wireless Networks and Mobility
• Planning and scheduling
Candidates will focus their research on one of these areas. The team particularly encourages applications from researchers with a background in artificial intelligence who are able to apply or develop AI approaches to enrich these fields and promote synergies.
