Best Paper Award à ICRA 2015

L'équipe CODE (département AS2M) vient de remporter le Best Automation Paper Award à ICRA 2015 pour un nouveau concept de manipulation et de transport sans contact de wafers et de cellules solaires.

ICRA est la plus grande conférence internationale en robotique (2700
participants en 2015). 

Ce prix est parmi les plus prestigieux et récompense des travaux sur
l'automatisation de systèmes dans des environnements prévisibles
améliorant leur efficacité, leur productivité, leur qualité et leur
fiabilité.

L'article propose un nouveau concept de manipulation et de transport
sans contact de wafers et de cellules solaires. Ce travail répond à une
demande de l'industrie photovoltaïque qui cherche à diminuer les pertes
de production dues à la manipulation par des robots conventionnels qui
cassent ou détériorent un trop grand nombre de cellules.

Ce nouveau système utilise des jets d'air pour manipuler les wafers sans
les toucher afin de minimiser les dommages. Le dispositif est constitué
de modules identiques afin de réduire les coûts mais dont l'assemblage
permet de réaliser toutes les fonctions de manipulations requises
(transport, capture, rotation, etc.). Les contributions scientifiques
concernent sa conception, sa modélisation et sa commande décentralisée. (Projet ANR Smart Blocks)
