Serge Grop récompensé par le prix IEEE et UFFC Best Student Paper Award

Serge Grop (doctorant Temps-Fréquence) a reçu le prix du « meilleur papier Etudiant 2010 » remis par IEEE et l’UFFC lors de l’IFCS 2010 qui s’est déroulé à Newport Beach du 2 au 4 juin.

Il est récompensé pour ses travaux relatifs à la conception d'un oscillateur saphir ultra-stable refroidi en cryogénérateur, développé pour l'Agence Spatiale Européenne (ESA) sujet exact "Demonstration of a cryocooled 10 GHz oscillator with 10-15 frequency stability"

L'objectif du projet ELISA fondé par l'Agence Spatiale Européenne (ESA), est le développement et la validation d'un oscillateur saphir cryogénique présentant une stabilité de fréquence de σy (τ) ≤ 3 × 10−15 pour des temps d'intégration compris 1s ≤ τ ≤ 1, 000s associé à une large autonomie (un an minimum sans aucune maintenance). Cet oscillateur équipera la station terrestre de l'ESA situé en Espagne.
