Health monitoring of bio-based composites using embedded micro-machined sensors

This internship is part of the CONTACT project (Composite Structural Embedding CMUTs for SHM). The project is funded by the EUR EIPHI (http://gradschool.eiphi.univ-bfc.fr/). Its objective is to implement a process for the health monitoring of structures in-service, based on transient high frequency signals emitted during the modification of their integrity (acoustic emission technique).

The aim of this internship is to characterize the influence of the inclusion of miniature sensors on the microstructure and fatigue behavior of composites.
