L’ingénierie des métamatériaux révolutionne le confort sonore

Solutions isolantes ultra-efficaces et d’épaisseur très fine, les métamatériaux acoustiques développés par une équipe de chercheurs de FEMTO-ST promettent de s’affranchir du bruit et des nuisances sonores. Le projet est accompagné par le programme de prématuration du CNRS.

Les travaux de recherche menés par l’équipe d’Abdelkrim KHELIF ont permis la mise au point d’une nouvelle technologie de métamatériaux acoustiques, capable de rendre n’importe quel matériau solide ultra-efficace en terme d’isolation du bruit et des nuisances sonores. D’une épaisseur très fine, ces métamatériaux sont néanmoins d’une efficacité redoutable pour isoler des basses fréquences grâce à la génération de larges bandes fréquentielles où la propagation des ondes est interdite. L’innovation a fait l’objet de deux brevets.
Ce projet est actuellement accompagné par le programme de prématuration du CNRS. D’ici fin 2016, la SATT Grand Est, déjà impliquée dans l’étude de marché et la propriété intellectuelle, prendra le relai à travers un programme de maturation. Une spin-off, portée par Aliyasin El Ayouch et Youssef Tejda de l’Institut Femto-St, devrait voir le jour courant 2017...
