Visite ministérielle à FEMTO-ST

Pilotée par Laurent Larger, Directeur de FEMTO-ST, cette visite du 16 mars a permis de présenter à Mme la Ministre de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche , Frédérique VIDAL, quelques-unes, des compétences scientifiques et technologiques du laboratoire à travers des thématiques comme les bio puces pour l’analyse des nanoparticules biologiques, les micro horloges atomiques pour la mesure du temps, les interactions acousto-optiques dans les nanofibres ou encore sur les phénomènes extrêmes en optique ultra-rapide.

Hommage à Raymond BESSON, « l’homme du quartz à 10-14 »

Scientifique passionné, professeur à l’ENSMM jusqu’en 2006 et directeur du Laboratoire de Chronométrie, Electronique et Piézoélectricité entre 1978 et 2002, Raymond Besson était réputé dans la communauté internationale du temps-fréquence pour ses résonateurs à quartz et est décédé ce 15 avril.
