Conférence sur le laser et ses applications : 31 mai à Lons le saunier

Il y a 50 ans, à quelques jours près, Theodore MAIMAN faisait fonctionner le premier laser dans un laboratoire scientifique californien. Aujourd’hui, cet outil a ouvert de nouvelles perspectives scientifiques et techniques et a permis à l’optique de se dégager de la physique pour de devenir une science à part entière.

Dans le cadre de l’Université ouverte de Franche-Comté et partant de l’histoire scientifique qui a mené à cette première réalisation, Vincent Armbruster expliquera lundi 31 mai 2010 de 18h à 20h à Lons le Saunier (Carrefour de la communication -place du 11 novembre) le principe de l’émission laser et quelles en sont ses spécificités. Il présentera ensuite quelques applications clés et montrera comment cet outil s’est imposé dans de multiples domaines scientifiques et techniques, pour se retrouver régulièrement dans notre quotidien (code barre, lecteur de CD, bureautique, matériel médical, radars,…).
