Micronora 2008 : Micron d’or et micro-vache

Pour la voir, il faut un microscope. Ses pièces sont en SU-8, une résine photosensible à haute résistance chimique et mécanique et font 5 µm d’épaisseur, tout comme ses encoches d’assemblage. Elles ont été fabriquées dans la salle blanche MIMENTO de FEMTO-ST sur un wafer en silicium. La plus petite pièce, le museau fait 50x50x5 µm3 et pèse 15 ng ; sa surface est donc comparable au diamètre d’un cheveu.

La performance technologique réside dans l’assemblage minuscule en volume de 5 pièces à l’échelle du micron réalisé grâce à la station de micro assemblage Pronomia. En effet, à cette échelle, les manipulations et les assemblages sont compliqués par les frottements et les forces d’adhésion très importants.

Les applications de cette innovation sont multiples et concernent des domaines variés tels que le médical, l’horlogerie, l’optique, les capteurs ou encore le spatial.
