Frédéric Cherioux

Frederic CHERIOUX (51 years old) is CNRS research director since 2012. He possesses a broad expertise in the field of nanosciences and a strong ability to develop and manage interdisciplinary projects. Frédéric Chérioux obtained a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Franche-Comté in 1999 and a habilitation degree from the same University in 2005. He was a researcher at the Institute of Chemistry in Neuchâtel from 2000 to 2003 in the Süss-Fink’s Group. He is CNRS researcher at the FEMTO-ST institute in Besançon since 2003. His research is focused on the physics and chemistry of molecules adsorbed on surfaces. Frédéric Chérioux has authored or co-authored about 100 papers in international peer-reviewed journals (e.g. Nat. Chem., Phys. Rev. Lett., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.) and more than 150 communications. He was member of the molecular-electronic division in the “Observatoire des Micro-Nanotechnologies” (2005-17). He was Principal Investigator of two projects funded by the ANR ( SUPRAMEM (2007-11) and ORGANISO (2016-21))  and he is WP leader in nine other projects funded by the ANR (2010-24).
