Muhammad Aazam Waheed is a Master’s student in the Control for Green Mechatronics (GreeM) program now ARMAC at the University of Marie and Louis Pasteur, Besançon, France (2023-2025).
Prior to joining FEMTO-ST, Muhammad completed an internship at FEMTO-ST in 2024, where he worked on Topology Optimization of piezoelectric actuators, utilizing tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, and COMSOL. He has also worked on laser cutting and fabrication of piezoelectric actuators.
Muhammad holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University, India (2018-2022). His undergraduate research focused on biodiesel blends and CI engines, leading to publications in Springer and the International Journal of Energy for a Clean Environment (2022). He was also awarded the Best Final Year Project in Mechanical Engineering and was selected for SEGT 2024 to present his research on CI engines with ZnO nanoparticles.
His practical experience extends to renewable energy systems and industrial automation, having completed a solar power plant internship (2021) and an apprenticeship at UPRUV Nigam Limited (2019), focusing on thermal power plant operations. Additionally, he has designed and assembled a 6-cylinder radial engine prototype, optimizing its performance through simulations and practical testing.
