Two young regional researchers awarded by the CNRS bronze medal

Aude Bolopion (microrobotics) and Nadia Yousfi-Steiner (electrical engineering), two young researchers from FEMTO-ST Institute, were awarded by the CNRS bronze medal for their contribution to the advancement of French research.

The awards were presented on Monday, September 16th at Belfort City Hall by Edwige Helmer Laurent, CNRS Regional Delegate Centre-Est, Laurent Nicolas, Scientific Assistant Director of the CNRS Institute of Engineering Sciences and Systems and Jamal Daafouz, Scientific Assistant Director of the CNRS Institute of Information Sciences and their interactions and Laurent Larger, Director of FEMTO-ST Institute.

The bronze medal recognizes the first work dedicated to researchers who are specialists in their field. This distinction represents an encouragement by the CNRS to pursue well initiated and already fruitful research.

In 2019, silver (senior researcher), bronze (junior researcher) and crystal (research support function) medals were awarded to 87 scientists and research support staff.

43 researchers (within 20 women) were honoured with a bronze medal at the national level.
